Tensions ran low during this wedding; Krista and Matt knew how to keep it casual and stress free, and were a pleasure to work with. Their patience was appreciated as I snapped away under some of the highest temperatures I’ve worked in… it was a warm one but beautiful and the pictures came out great!

Reynolds family
With all the weddings and engagements lately, I haven’t had a family shoot in a bit, and was glad to have the opportunity to shoot the Reynolds family last week. The main focus was their adorable son Jaxon, and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing everyone’s interactions with him through-out the shoot. Hope you enjoy!
Jenn and Jered
I met with Jenn and Jered the other night for a fun, casual shoot around the downtown area. They even had a few spots in mind already, which made things easy on me! 🙂 Here’s a handful of my favorites from the hour and a half or so that we had:
Doug and Sarah tied the knot…
This was, hands down, one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot. Part of it was having already known some of the wedding party… part of it was that Doug and Sarah aren’t afraid to be themselves (that is, a little goofy) and that’s something I can appreciate thoroughly. We laughed a lot, stress was kept down to an impressive minimum, and most importantly, these two are MARRIED now! Congrats, guys!!!
new logo (grand unveiling!)
I’m very excited about today’s post: the unveiling of a brand new logo for 9art photography!! With me recently going full time into photography and a new surge of business under my belt, I decided 9art needed a more ‘official’ image, something a bit more professional than what yours truly could come up with on his own. Soooo… I enlisted the help of my friend Jason Courtney of 82 Design, gave him an initial idea to run with (invented rather cleverly by my good friend Ryan Larson) and after a lot of hard work Jason created the beautiful logo you see here!
Now if I can just find the time to actually integrate the new image into my website, the new look look will really start coming together! I’ll keep you updated on progress with the site as I not only change out the logo but also add slideshows and update pictures (a long overdue task).
I’m also going to use this post as an opportunity to rave a bit about Jason; I’ve now worked with him personally and also have seen the work he’s done remodeling a blog for my friend Suzy, which you can see at
‘the golden pineapple’ . Pretty shnazzy, eh? I know I’m impressed with his work; now do me a favor and spread the word about Jason’s abilities if you happen to know anyone that might need some graphic design done. You can visit Jason’s portfolio by going to eightytwodesign.com .
Harry Louis @ 6 months
Ok, I’m jumping the gun a week by saying he’s 6 months. But then again, he’s WEARING 9 month old clothes, so I don’t think it hurts to jump ahead just a little…
Harry has gotten to be humongous; now 20 lbs, readily equipped with a huge grin and already with an ornery twinkle in his eye. Especially when he gets bored, which becomes more and more frequently. My mother is, I’m sure, clapping her hands with glee at the justice of me having an ADD child like I was when I was little…
Not that you all have been rubbing your hands together in anticipation or anything, but sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted any new shots of the little tyke. Here’s my favorite recent pictures to show off his already larger than life personality…
