Baby Oliver

Don’t get me wrong. I love working with adults. But sometimes I wonder if photographing kids isn’t my favorite… this is photography as authentic as it can get. Babies don’t know how to fake a smile, they don’t feel awkward in front of the camera, and they don’t have a ‘bad side’. (and as someone who hates being on the other side of the lens, I understand how adults think when you put them in front of a camera).

Oliver was the perfect example of sweet, honest emotion, and while I had to move fast to catch an expression, that expression would prove to be so much more rewarding to capture once the shutter clicked. Plus the fact that when a 24 year old or 47 year old cries, it’s real ugly… but here, it doesn’t matter if they’re laughing or crying, it’s all good!

I present baby Oliver; 2 & 1/2 months old and full of life. Have fun watching him get older…. his parents (Veronica and Brian Prosise) enrolled him in my soon-to-be-released ‘baby’s 1st year’ package, so he’ll be back on the blog in a couple of months!! Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the package.
