You may remember baby Oliver from back in August; his parents Bryan and Veronica are the first customers to enroll in 9art’s ‘baby’s first year’ program. You can re-visit the first batch of pictures (here).
here’s a few shots from our second session… Oliver is growing up fast. I already can’t wait for the next shoot with him! I’m opening this batch with a ‘behind-the-scenes’ shot of my own little boy, Harry, who tagged along with me and his mom to help out. It was just too much cuteness in one room… can’t handle it…
I was waiting for the next senior to say they wanted something extra ‘edgy’ to pull out the location I used on Saturday for this shoot, just outside of Joplin… and I’m more than a little excited with the results. Thank you Kelsa for being so willing to trek around in the wasteland- and for being a great model for these not-so-normal senior pictures!!
Logan is a senior at Webb City High, and a proud member of the band there. I’d be proud too… they’re going to the Rose bowl this year, which is no small thing. Logan is a huge jazz fan and I tried to give him sort of a jazz feel for some of these senior pictures. I think they went well with his personality. Logan, I was more than happy to have you as my first guy (senior) of the season!!
Well it was just one of those days… we had a family shoot planned for the park in gorgeous Carthage… then we woke up and it was 40 degrees and raining. Not to be deterred, we decided to do the shoot at the Turek family’s home outside of Oronogo, Missouri instead… and I think we came out better than if we’d stuck with the original plan! The inside shots were very fun and personal, and then the rain even slacked off long enough for us to get some great backyard shots too. Thanks to the Tureks for opening up their home to the photographer!
Levi & Betsy wanted some shots before their baby gets here. We split up the shoot between Webb City (including a fun little taco stand!) and their house. I love it when people let me shoot in their home; I think it’s just a lot more personal. And thanks Levi, for being unafraid to be goofy. 🙂
Hey everybody! Just put up a brand new rates page with some pretty fun new packages. 4 new packages for families… 3 of which include shnazzy modern HOLIDAY CARDS… and 2 new ‘baby’s 1st year’ packages, which I’m very excited about. you can check it all out by clicking (here).
Courtney came to me to get some photography that would match her fun & quirky personality. We took things downtown and had a lot of fun, in spite of the pretty chilly wind blowing in that day! Thanks to courtney’s mom and sister for serving as my ‘assistants’. 🙂
I’d like to introduce you to the very newly engaged Matt and Amber. Matt is a very talented graphic designer who, like me, is throwing down some roots in Joplin and planning to stick around to contribute to the ever growing group of visual creatives in the area. You can check out his site by clicking (here). It was a pleasure to work with a graphic designer as a client for the third time this year… I feel pretty flattered to be chosen by other creative professionals as their photographer!
My good friend Colby Williams followed along for part of the shoot to document me ‘in action’ for an upcoming video I’ll be putting up on the main site (hence the first photo). Stay tuned to see the video as soon as it’s finished!
Tackled two families at once again yesterday… we met up at the Vogel vineyard just outside of Galena, Kansas and it was absolutely gorgeous. Blue sky, green vines, and kids with lots of personality!! Mandy and Keith were using me for the 4th time to capture their growing family, and brought their friends Christy and Brandon (and their kids, of course) along this time to join in the fun this time.
I’m pretty proud of these, I have to admit… hope you enjoy them!
Alright. So fall is in the air in joplin,missouri- everyone is thinking about pictures, and is it ever the perfect month to get them done. Cool weather, changing leaves… I’m looking for an avalanche of photography appointments this month. To REALLY get things rolling, I’m going to give you guys a deal– so here it is.
For every client that you personally you send my way in the month of October, I’ll give you 10% off your next prints order (for up to $300 value), & 20% off your next sitting fee. So if 5 people make appointments w/ me this month and all mention your name, that’s a free session and half off your prints; 10 people (if you’re feeling real ambitious!), and you’re talking totally free all around. Questions? Be sure to let me know!
I think this is going to be fun… so be looking for a new deal every month!
