Sam was referred to me by a good friend who also happens to be one of my most loyal client clients, mr Chris Auckerman (of the ‘Auckerman boys‘ shoot a few weeks back). Sam said he wanted to something different for updated photos of he and his wife Ashley; Chris & his family have been great collaborators in shoots that are very unique and built around fun concepts, so he knew Sam & I would work great together.
So thankful for referrals like that… knowing someone is so happy with the work they’ve received, they’re sending others my way. 🙂
I asked Sam & his lovely lady Ashley for some insights into their life that we could build a shoot around. They are both golf fans (or maybe it should be said that Sam is and Ashley is kind enough to accompany him) and live in a beautiful home in a beautiful area, so we took advantage of those simple facts and did the shoot in the area they live in and on a nearby golf course.
It was cold. COLD! Windy, dreary, gray… the kind of day that just isn’t so photographically appealing and the sort of weather that makes subjects really really wish they were just inside. But these two matched and probably even exceeded my own efforts, freezing like crazy and going along with my insane ideas, doing 30 takes to get that one epic shot.
The shoot moved from outrageously goofy to simple and sweet… I love it when a single session can possess this much diversity. Each couple has many moods as well… so why stick to only one in a photo shoot?
